Entitled Karen orders neighbor to bake healthy snacks for Trick or Treating, neighbor maliciously complies: ‘[She] handed the kids a little bag of… chopped carrots’

Dealing with kids is one obstacle, but dealing with their parents is almost always more challenging. Teachers can attest to this, and parents themselves are likely to agree. This dynamic becomes particularly transparent during gatherings and events, and Halloween is no exception.

Here, we have a neighbor who was, for better or for worse, known by everyone to be a good baker. News travels fast in the suburbs, so it did not take long for the entitled Karen Mom who just moved to the neighborhood to hear about this neighbor's famous Halloween treats through the grapevine. As the day approached and as the neighborhood began discussions of Trick or Treating festivities, the Karen accosted her neighbor and insisted that she adhere to strict ingredient requirements for her kids' treats. Clearly, this lady could not comprehend the idea that her neighbor was not going to bake individualized treats for each kid,  but the neighbor did find a clever way to comply with her requests, albeit maliciously.

    Halloween arrived, and my GF was in full baking mode, playing "The Nightmare Before Christmas" soundtrack in the background and baking up a storm! She crafted cookies shaped like witches' fingers and pumpkins, taking extra care to make them as sugary and flavorful as possible.

    controversial_jelly OP. Found out after Halloween, the mum had been to a load of my neighbours with these stupid requests. Gf is the only one that bakes, other neighbours had been told SPECIFIC treats to buy.

    I controversial_jelly OP. My Gf wants me to add - a few kids do have dietary needs. She always accommodates this and every kid gets the same thing. If it was a matter of NEED, or health, she'd have incorporated those requests too
